1937 Rights to produce and market Bulmers in Ireland
1960 Acquired ownership rights to Bulmers trademark in Ireland
1968 Allied Breweries and Guinness Ireland merged
1970 Grants of Ireland acquired (wines and spirits). Hollywood and Donnelly acquired (wines and spirits in Northern Ireland)
1979 The export arm of the Group came into being with the launch of Carolans Irish Cream
1985 Irish Mist acquired (liqueur company)
1986 Ross Cochrane acquired (wholesale alcohol in Northern Ireland). WJ Dwan acquired (wholesale alcohol)
1990 Majority interest in Barbero SpA acquired (liqueur business in Italy)
1991 Barbieri Ltd acquired (aperitif business in Italy)
1993 Ballygowan acquired (bottled water)
1994 Tullamore Dew acquired (Irish whiskey)
1995 Aquaporte acquired (dispensed water)
1998 Allied Domecq acquired 100% of C&C
1999 Funds advised by BC Partners, their co-investors and management acquired C&C from Allied Domecq. Tayto acquired (potato crisps and snack foods)
2000 Buy out of minority shareholding in Barbero
2001 Findlaters acquired (wines)
2003 C&C Group plc announces sale of 100% of Barbero S.p.A (“Barbero”) to Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A (“Campari”) Dec ‘03. C&C retained the Frangelico liqueur brand
2004 IPO
2005 Disposal of Snacks division to Largo Food Export Limited
2007 Disposal of Soft drinks and related assets to Britvic plc
2009 Acquires Irish, Northern Irish and Scottish businesses of Anheuser-Busch InBev, including the Tennent's brands
2010 Disposal of Spirits & Liqueurs Division to Wm. Grant & Sons Holding Ltd.
