C&C Group is a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of Cider. The company’s main markets are Ireland and Great Britain. The company continues to develop international markets – mainly in Europe.

All Cider is manufactured and bottled at the company’s manufacturing plant in Clonmel.

C&C owns the Bulmers trademark in the Republic of Ireland only and export cider carries the Magners Brand.

In the Republic of Ireland, cider is synonymous with Bulmers, demonstrated by its 80% share of the cider category. In February 2008, the brand had a 10.6% share of the LAD market in the Republic of Ireland.

The successful repositioning of Bulmers to a premium position in the long alcohol market included emphasising the brand's core values of Naturalness, Tradition and Heritage, combined with high levels of media investment and a normalisation in the alcohol content to beer levels.

Bulmers is the yardstick by which other ciders are measured.

Bulmers Ltd of Clonmel, Ireland is not connected with HP Bulmer Ltd of Hereford, UK. BULMERS Original Vintage Cider produced by Bulmers Ltd of Clonmel, Ireland is sold outside the Republic of Ireland under the name MAGNERS Original Irish Cider.

As the Group does not own the Bulmers brand name outside Ireland, it launched Magners in 1999, first Northern Ireland and then in GB over the period 2003 to 2006. Magners is the international equivalent of Bulmers and has been positioned similarly with respect to the brand's core values. The brand created the premium cider category in GB with its over ice concept, and at February 2008 had a market share of 12% of the GB cider market.
